Obedience Classes: Tuesday evenings Edwardsville Community Center 696 South 3rd Street Edwardsville, Kansas 66111
7pm—Rally to Novice Obedience Designed for the obedience competitor needing practice in AKC Rally and Novice obedience. 8pm—Basic Obedience Designed for the owners of companion animals. At the end of the class the dog & owner will know the following: · Leash manners · Sit · Down · Stay · Come · Socialization with other dogs |

Class fee: Obedience Classes are 8 weeks duration for $60.00 per session.
4H members fee is available upon sign-up.
Agility Classes are 6 weeks duration for $90.00 per session.

Agility Classes—Classes are: Wednesday at 6:30—Competition followed by Intermediate Thursday at 6:30—Beginner followed by 4H class Beginners—Basic training on contact obstacles, jumps, tunnels & weave poles Intermediate– Focuses on improving the dog & handler skills on connecting obstacles in basic sequences. Firming the dog’s understanding of obstacle performance. Improving the handler’s ability to evaluate sequences to best help the dog’s performance Competition—Open practice for competition level teams. Courses are built with various challenges seen in AKC, ASCA, NADAC & USDAA courses. The class is designed to allow each member to understand each dog’s physical capabilities to perform difficult sequences. Handlers will learn how to evaluate their dog’s abilities and strategize successful handling plans for the courses. 4H Dog Project practice—focuses on basic obstacle familiarization. Improve the young handler’s ability to assist their 4-legged partner over simple courses. Must be a member of the Wyandotte County Dog Project or be approved to join the class by the Project leader or the instructor. |
